September Design Team Project for The Piece by Piece

Its with a heavy heart that this will be my last project for The Piece by Piece. I have started back to work and unfortunately my time is now limited. I have so enjoyed working with Bev and her beautiful products. I want to thank Bev and the other ladies on her team for being so supportive of my work. So with that announcement here is my project.

I found these little bird cage wood hangings in the clearance section at Micheal's and thought they were the cutest thing ever. Yhe price was perfect too, only .99 cents. Now how can you beat that??? I had to buy all 3.  As soon as I saw them I thought cork board, chalk board or a magnet board, well the magnet board won out. I got some thin metal sheets that I traced and cut out with my Tim Holtz scissors. I will tell you those are some tough scissors! I was really surprised that they cut like butter!  The links for all the products I used are below.

Well its already June!!!! Half of the year is already over and Christmas is just right around the corner! gasp! Here is my DT project for the piece by piece for June. I had so much fun creating the texture background. Wasn't really sure it was going to work...but so glad I took the risk and tried. I used a brick stencil and spackling compound instead of homemade texture paste. Surprisingly it works really well. I did add a layer of gesso and glue n' seal to make sure it will not come off. March DT Project for The Piece by Piece

Wow I had so much fun creating this Birdcage shaped mini album. This project came together in a flash and I finished in just a few hours. Love how all the pieces of lace and trim really added to the softness of the pages. The paper collections that I used is from last year, Pinkpaislee Butterfly Garden.
